As of January 1, 2026 the temporary COVID-19 rule waiver that allowed teleconference formats for Skills will no longer satisfy the Skills requirement for newly admitted attorneys . Skills credits must now be earned in a traditional live classroom setting.
Due to these changes, Marino Legal Academy’s Bridge the Gap events will now be a single day live in-person containing the 9 credits that must be done live (Ethics + Skills), plus an online bundle containing the 7 remaining Professional Practice credits, which are on-demand and may be completed at your own pace.
3 live Ethics Credits + 6 live Skills Credits + 6 online Professional Practice Credits + 1 online Cybersecurity Credit = A full year of CLE requirements for newly-admitted New York attorneys.
