Florida CLE Requirements

Total CLE Requirements: Each attorney must complete a minimum of 33 hours of accredited continuing legal education every three (3) years, with at least five (5) credit hours in ethics, professionalism, substance abuse, or mental illness awareness, and 3 credits in Technology.

New lawyers are assisted in the transition to the practice of law through the Basic Skills Course Requirement classes which are given in-person, electronically, and online.
CLE Deadline: At the end of each lawyer’s personal, three-year reporting period.
Reporting: Florida is a self-reporting jurisdiction.
Reporting Information: Each member of the Florida Bar is assigned a three-year reporting period, which can be found on the mailing label of The Florida Bar News.
