I am a newly admitted attorney, licensed in both New York and New Jersey, interested in taking your Bridge the Gap program. Can I get credit for both New York and New Jersey by attending one Bridge the Gap date?

Yes, attorneys can get both New York and New Jersey credit by attending a Bridge the Gap program. For a New York Bridge the Gap date, New York attorneys will earn 3 ethics credits and 6 skills credits and New Jersey newly-admitted attorneys will earn 3 ethics credits and 6 general credits (New Jersey attorneys must attend another live program to receive the additional 3 live credits required to fulfill their 12 live credit requirement. If you are a NJ attorney who attended a 9-credit Bridge the Gap date and need the additional 3 live credits, please email info@marinolegal.com or call 212-249-3779).

If it is a New Jersey specific Bridge the Gap program, newly-admitted New Jersey and New York attorneys will earn 12 live credits, 4 of which will be ethics credits. New York attorneys may carry over the additional live skills credits to the following year (additional ethics credits may not be carried over).

I just bought online courses through your website. Now what do I do?

Go to our homepage at marinolegalcle.com and click the “My Account/Login” link at the top right of the homepage. This will take you the the SkyPrep log-in page (you can also go directly to marinolegal.skyprepapp.com). Your “Username” is the email address that you registered with. If this is your first time logging into your SkyPrep account, use the password provided to you in the email you received from Marino Legal Academy.

Once you have logged into your SkyPrep account, your courses will appear on the screen. To watch a course, click the “Launch Course” button. This will take you to the course page. Under “Course Modules” you should see (1) the Course Materials (2) the Video Lecture for the course (3) the Course Assessment, and the (4) Course Evaluation.

Completing the Course and Receiving Your Certificate

(1) Click on the course materials under Course Modules, and download the materials by clicking on the “Download” button on the upper left corner of the screen.

(2) After downloading the course materials, click on the arrow on the upper right corner of the screen to move on to the video. (You can return to the main course page at any time by clicking on “Return to Course Hub” at the top left corner of the screen).

(3) As you watch the video, be sure to write down the codes that appear during the lecture (the codes either appear on the screen after a gong sounds or they are read out by the lecturer. All two-credit courses will have two codes).

(4) After you complete the video, click the arrow on the upper right corner of the page. This will take you to the Code Verification Assessment. Click “Start Assessment” and enter the codes that appeared during the video lecture that you just completed. After you submit the codes, press “Continue Course.” The next assessment is the optional Course Evaluation. If you do not wish to complete the Course Evaluation, click “Exit Assessment” on the top right corner to return to the main course page.

To retrieve your Certificate: If you completed watching the video lecture and entered the correct codes in the assessment, you will receive a certificate of course completion. The certificate is emailed to you, but you can also retrieve your certificate on the main course page by clicking “View Your Certificate.” On your SkyPrep home page, you can see all of your certificates by clicking on “Completed Courses” on the left side of the screen. If you have any problems retrieving your certificate, or if you are unable to locate the codes in the video, please email info@marinolegal.com.
