Founded in 1946 by Joseph Marino, Sr., Marino Legal virtually created the concept of modern bar review and remains the most innovative legal education service in the field, constantly adapting our courses and education options to meet the needs of both busy attorneys, law firms and law students. Three generations of Marino law professors and legal educators have worked to provide the highest quality education at reasonable costs, training and educating thousands of attorneys each year throughout the country.
In addition to the well-known CLE expertise of the Marino Institute for Continuing Legal Education for attorneys, Marino Legal Academy’s three family-run legal education businesses include Marino Bar Review and Marino Bar Tutors, both of which help law students prepare for the Bar Exam.
Before his passing in 2016, Professor Joseph L. Marino, Jr. became famous for creating innovative methods that changed the way modern bar review is taught. He was a professor at New York Law School for almost 20 years, and in 2000, was named Director of the Academic Skills Program, where he developed two new courses. For almost four decades, he helped thousands of students prepare for the bar exam and earned many awards and commendations along the way.
Today, Marino thrives because our sense of family and commitment to our customers extends to all of our staff. Visit our Faculty page to learn more about just some of the legal experts who lecture on our behalf. Our core team :
