Sari Friedman

Attorney Sari Friedman has over 35 years of experience in matrimonial and family law. As a mother of two, she recognizes the importance of family and of protecting the rights of children and parents alike.

Sari and her team are dedicated to helping Long Island families with family law matters ranging from divorce and child custody to child support, alimony, and fathers’ rights. Recognizing that no two cases are alike, Sari provides one-on-one attention to each client and creates a personalized legal plan for each case.

“As every family is unique, a cookie-cutter legal approach is not effective,” Sari says.

Attorney Friedman is highly recognized in the Long Island and New York legal communities for her experience and skill. She was named to New York’s Legal Leaders Top Rated Lawyers in 2015 and 2016, a distinction only given to attorneys who have been honored with the prestigious AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell®.

Sari Friedman was recently named one of the “10 Best” Family Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction in New York by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. This award reflects her commitment to clients—which is where the American Institute focuses their research and investigation for the award—unlike most other of her awards which are based on peer recognition.

Friedman’s devotion to the Long Island community through her legal efforts has also been recognized by the Star Network Power Women in Business Award. She was also honored with the2016 New York Family Business Award by Smart CEO magazine, which recognizes Friedman & Friedman’s legacy and commitment in the field of matrimonial and family law.

Sari also acts as General Counsel for the Fathers’ Rights Association of New York State.

Andrea B. Friedman

Andrea B. Friedman is a named partner at Friedman & Friedman, Attorneys at Law. Friedman joined Friedman & Friedman, Attorneys at Law, as an associate in 2009, after receiving her J.D. from Hofstra University Law School, and a B.A. from George Washington University.

In her many years at the firm, she has distinguished herself as a leader in the area of matrimonial and family law. She has developed a well-respected reputation for her aggressive attitude humbled by her compassionate disposition.

Andrea Friedman focuses her practice on preparation, insight into the law and advocacy for her client. Practicing side-by-side with Sari M. Friedman, she handles all areas of matrimonial and family law from inception through trial.

Friedman has emerged as a well-respected attorney. In 2014, Long Island Business News called Friedman “one to watch.” In 2017, she was named a Queens “40 Under 40” winner. She often teaches trial skills to students at Hofstra University School of Law. She has also been a guest lecturer at the Marino Institute of Continuing Legal Education, speaking to fellow attorneys on all aspects of matrimonial and family law.

Andrea is the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions that sets her apart from others in the legal community. She won the Long Island Business News Millennial Award which was given to her in recognition of her abilities among other young professionals. She was also named as an advisory board member at ACDS. This is a not for profit organization devoted to serving children and adults who deal with developmental disabilities. She is also a recent member of the White Plains Rotary Club

Friedman was recently named to Who’s Who as a Top Attorney in North America and is now a member of the Board of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association.
