M. SALMAN RAVALA concentrates his practice relating to asset protection, business structuring and reorganization, corporate governance, export compliance and the negotiation and preparation of contracts. He regularly serves as counsel to a wide range of individual and business clients including local, national, and international start-ups, not-for-profits and privately held businesses. As part of his practice, he also represents clients with their contract dispute matters, employment law matters, and intellectual property law matters in state and federal court, various agencies in New York state, as well as the Internal Revenue Service. Previously, Mr. Ravala served as Visiting Legal Scholar to the UN Office of Legal Affairs as well as Law Clerk to Attorney General for Pakistan. Having formerly worked in the legal department of one of the largest equipment distributors, Mr. Ravala brings in-depth strategic counseling, sophisticated transactional, and due diligence experience. He has authored legal articles that have been published by NYU Law School’s Globalex as well as the American Bar Association and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Ravala was an invited speaker for a forum on social innovation at The White House. Mr. Ravala contributes to the Small Business Law Blog which focuses on (but is not limited to) small business law and other topics related to starting your own business.
