Ms. An has been practicing law in New York since 2007. She is the Managing Partner at Altman & An LLP. Ms. An leads the firm’s well-established business immigration practice. She focuses on immigrant investor programs (EB-5), EB-5 Regional Center establishment, project finance, and compliance, and other complex EB-5 issues. Ms. An represented individual investors, foreign companies, U.S. employers as well as regional centers, project companies and restaurant chains in immigrant investor programs.
Ms. An represents foreign companies and entrepreneurs in pursuit of nonimmigrant visa and immigration petitions. She is experienced in helping foreign business owners and corporation apply for L visa status, E-2 visa status and obtain permanent residency through EB-1C category. Ms. An also represents immigrants with extraordinary abilities to petition for permanent residency through EB-1 and National Interest Waiver category . Her clients include outstanding scholars, professors, athletes, artists, producers and directors, actors and models.
Ms. An started her practice in real estate since 2010. Ms. An represented real estate developers and investors in Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Westchester. She is external general counsel to several real estate funds in New York. Ms. An provides advice and counsel to developers and sponsors through all stages of the process including land purchase, zoning, drafting and filing offering plan, and closing the transaction with purchasers on sponsor’s behalf. Ms. An also advises clients on real estate fund offering documents. Ms. An represents buyers of residential and commercial properties, including vacant lands, restaurants, doctor’s offices, mixed use buildings, hotels, and other commercial properties. Ms. An represents private lenders in secured transactions.
Prior to establishing the firm, Ms. An worked as general counsel in private equity firms in New York. She managed company’s merger and acquisition transactions, drafted joint venture documents, oversaw compliance with FINRA and SEC in subsidiary brokerage firm.
