Is CLE Mandatory in Kansas? Kansas requires admitted attorneys to complete 12 hours of CLE training. More details about CLE compliance can be found on this webpage.
What specific subject matters are required in Kansas? Two of the 12 required hours must cover ethics and professionalism.
How many self-study CLE credits will satisfy Kansas CLE requirements? Kansas does not limit the number of online courses that can be used to satisfy their CLE requirements. Online courses provide the ideal opportunity to quickly and conveniently complete your CLE hours. Kansas does require the the courses be pre-approved before participation.
Does Kansas have Live CLE Requirements? No, you may use online courses for all of your Kansas CLE credit requirements.
Is a Marino CLE bundle available for Kansas? In the future, Marino plans to offer Continuing Legal Education courses for Kansas so that you can get your CLE hours quickly and conveniently from wherever you are.
Is the CLE provider responsible for verifying my participation? To verify attendance of a CLE course, you must get an affidavit from the provider and mail it to the Kansas Continuing Legal Education Commission.
What special CLE requirements are newly admitted attorneys held to? Newly admitted attorneys in Kansas do not have a CLE requirement for the compliance period in which they were admitted.
Does Kansas require attorneys to self-report their CLE attendance? For out of state CLE programs, including online programs, you are responsible for reporting your attendance and submitting an affidavit from the sponsor. Your provider must provide you with the proper documentation needed to satisfy the reporting requirements.
