Mr. Block is an attorney whose legal practice includes commercial, securities, intellectual property and real estate litigation. He represents clients in federal and state courts located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Washington, California, Arizona and Toronto, Canada, as well as First, Second, Ninth and Federal Circuits.
Mr. Block is a Neutral with the World Intellectual Property Organization of the United Nations. He regularly represents clients in mediation and arbitration before the American Arbitration Association, World Intellectual Property Organization, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and National Arbitration Forum
Mr. Block prosecutes trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and appears before the Trademark Trials and Appeals Board on cancellation and opposition proceedings. He regularly counsels fashion designers regarding their commercial and intellectual property needs, particularly brand development, and advises musicians, television directors, graphic and commercial artists regarding their rights under state and federal laws, including copyrights. He negotiates licenses for brand marketing, software and film rights in life stories.
Mr. Block is a former adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Foundation Center for Continuing Education, and guest lecturer on legal and business issues facing fashion designers at Parsons New School of Design. He is a recent past President of the International Intellectual Property Society.
